XXIX Torneo Internacional LALIGA FC FUTURES

ATLÉTICO DE MADRID
Atlético de Madrid
They are coming off a repeat championship win in the last edition of the Orlando International Tournament and, as such, they are one of the big favourites to take the title in Gran Canaria, as they did two years ago. The red and white team will once again make "Courage and Heart" their motto as they seek to add a new title to their trophy case.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND
Borussia Dortmund
The German team already knows what it takes to win this tournament: they did it in 2009 on the neighbouring island of Tenerife, and this year they face the challenge of repeating the feat in Gran Canaria years later. That year, they were crowned champions after defeating Sevilla 2-5 in the grand final. That year, the MVP of the tournament was Carlos Soler. The yellow team is one of the best youth academies in solid German football and will want to prove it. Will they be able to go one step further in this edition?

FC BARCELONA
FC Barcelona
A global benchmark, La Masía is always considered one of the youth academies most likely to win any title it competes for, thanks to its proven potential in each and every one of the Blaugrana's youth categories. FC Barcelona has not won the LALIGA FC FUTURES International Tournament since 2017, a streak they will be looking to break in this new edition.

INTER
Inter
Inter will once again be a key player in LALIGA FC FUTURES with the ambition that characterises its youth academy. In previous editions, talents such as Pio Esposito have already made their mark before making the leap to elite football, where he now stands out both at Inter and in the Italian national team. After being eliminated in the group stage last year, the Nerazzurri will be looking to write a new chapter full of 'orgoglio nerazzurro'.

JUVENTUS
Juventus
The Italian side, now a regular fixture in the tournament, will arrive on the islands with the aim of improving on last year's performance, when they were knocked out by Real Madrid in the quarter-finals (0-2). The character and dedication of the Bianconeri will undoubtedly be evident in each and every one of the players.

PSG
PSG
PSG returns with a new generation called upon to follow in the footsteps of talents such as Senny Mayulu and Zaire-Emery, who already shone in this tournament before doing so in the elite. After being eliminated in the group stage last season, the Parisians are looking to prove that their youth academy is a factory for future stars.

RCD ESPANYOL DE BARCELONA
RCD Espanyol de Barcelona
The Perico team returns to LALIGA FC FUTURES with renewed enthusiasm and eager to win the title, just as they did at the Estadio de la Cerámica this year during the National Tournament. They also know what it takes to win this International Tournament, something they achieved just three years ago with a team led by Iván Latif, who was also the best player in the tournament. A pool of talent and training eager to set the bar high once again.

REAL BETIS
Real Betis
The reigning runners-up are hungry for revenge. Real Betis came close to glory in the last edition, losing in the final to their neighbours Sevilla FC, and now they are looking to take that final step towards the title. Energy, joy and commitment for a youth team that always plays with its heart divided between thirteen green and white stripes.

REAL MADRID
Real Madrid
Semi-finalists in the previous tournament, Real Madrid face a new edition with renewed enthusiasm. Their young gems from 'La Fábrica' want to prove that the future is also written in white letters. The goal is clear: 'history to be made' in LALIGA FC FUTURES. The Whites have won three of the last six editions of the tournament and are looking to take home another trophy.

SEVILLA FC
Sevilla FC
The reigning champions arrive with their pride intact and a clear objective: to defend the crown they won in the last edition by defeating Real Betis in the final. Talent, determination, character and ambition come together once again in a Sevilla FC team that, with a new generation, wants to continue making history in LALIGA FC FUTURES.

SL BENFICA
SL Benfica
The Lisbon-based team has one of the most prolific youth academies in world football. It has produced talents such as the legendary Eusébio, Rui Costa and, more recently, João Félix and Rúben Dias. The Portuguese already know what it takes to do well in this LALIGA FC FUTURES International Tournament, having reached the final in 2006 in Tenerife and 2008 in Gran Canaria. On both occasions they lost to FC Barcelona.

UD LAS PALMAS
UD Las Palmas
Last year, the host team managed to overcome a demanding group stage and reach the quarter-finals, where they took the team that would eventually be the finalist, Real Betis, to a penalty shootout. UD Las Palmas will try to match and, why not, surpass their great performance last year and feed off the warmth of 'their' people to go as far as possible.

VALENCIA CF
Valencia CF
The Valencian team already knows what it is like to be LALIGA FC FUTURES champions. They will remember the grand final of the National Tournament at the Estadio de la Cerámica in June 2024, when they beat all the LALIGA EA SPORTS youth teams and won the trophy with Sergio Rodríguez shining throughout the tournament and in the final. Ten years earlier, in 2014, they also won the title in this International Tournament, defeating Atlético de Madrid in the final.

VILLARREAL CF
Villarreal CF
Villarreal reached the quarter-finals in the last edition and returns determined to go further. The Yellow Submarine's youth academy, one of the most renowned in Spain for its unique model, is once again shining with talent and hard work. It is time to continue growing and dream of winning the LALIGA FC FUTURES title. Although they have already won several editions of the LALIGA FC FUTURES National Tournament, the international edition still eludes them. Perhaps their time has come.

ATHLETIC CLUB
Athletic Club
The Lezama youth academy also wants to make its mark in Gran Canaria. Local talent is in the DNA of the Basque club, which once again is relying on a generation of home-grown players, faithful to its unique philosophy. World-class talents have emerged from one of the most prestigious youth academies internationally, winning with the club and also with the national team. Now it is the young 'lions' who are taking on the challenge of growing and making a name for themselves in the tournament.

SPORTING CP
Sporting CP
One of the most prestigious youth academies in Europe and the world arrives from Lisbon to participate in LALIGA FC FUTURES. Sporting has been the birthplace of stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Luís Figo, and in this edition of the tournament, its promising young players will try to follow in their footsteps and leave their mark on the tournament.
