Villarreal and Eibar out for return to form

Villarreal CF welcome one of the sensations of the Liga BBVA season to their stadium: SD Eibar, a team currently going through their worst spell of the campaign. Meanwhile, Marcelino García Toral’s men were beaten by Rayo Vallecano in their last league outing.

Eibar’s squad does not include Jaime, the injured Abraham and the suspended Piovaccari. For Villarreal, Marcelino is unable to call on injury absentee Bruno Soriano.

The hosts’ coach had words of praise for his opponents: “Eibar are a team who are very intense in their play, and who get better results away than at home. They’re a very well-organised side and they’re very hard to beat.” His counterpart in the visiting dugout, Gaizka Garitano, noted that he sees Villarreal as the better side but declared that his team has plenty of strong points and will compete: “It won’t be easy, but we have to have the mindset that we can go there and do well.”
