In-form Valencia CF host RC Deportivo at Mestalla. Los ché have gone five matchdays without tasting defeat and continue in their quest for points to claim third place in the division. The Riazor side are also out for a positive result, in order to climb the table as they look to achieve a position of mid-table comfort.
Team news
Valencia coach Nuno Espírito Santo has named a 19-man squad for the encounter against Deportivo, with the suspended pair of Javi Fuego and Shkodran Mustafi missing out. Visiting boss Víctor Fernández will have to make the trip without the injured Hélder Postiga and José Verdú 'Toché', but the Galicians do welcome back Haris Medunjanin.
Views from the dugout
Nuno was refusing to get carried away by his side's recent results, remaining cautious on Deportivo: "We expect a difficult opponent, as is the case with every team in this league; one that has good players and plays good football." Fernández likewise confessed that his charges await "a Valencia team that put on a lot of pressure, are very aggressive, very dynamic, very penetrative, with explosive dribbling from most of their players, who feel extremely assured when playing at home."
