Granada CF and Rayo Vallecano are the two sides charged with raising the curtain on the return of Liga BBVA. Both sides lost before the international break and they are looking to get back to winning ways.

Team news

Granada are without several injured and suspended players, and are sweating on the fitness of Héctor Yuste and Luis. Rayo, meanwhile, travel to Andalusia with a squad of 18, with Antonio Amaya back in the fold. Javier Aquino, Cristian Álvarez, Fatau, Lassane Bangoura and Zé Castro are all missing.

View from the dugout

Joaquín Caparrós has said his side are up for the match. "The boys want to play a good game in order to give the fans some joy", he said. His opposite number Paco Jémez spoke in glowing terms about their opponents: "I'm expecting a Granada side that will try and take us on, and Caparrós's sides are always difficult to beat. They're strong in defence, they don't commit errors and they know how to use the counterattack", said the Canary Islander.
