The Madrigal will provide the stage for an enticing clash between Villarreal CF and Getafe CF on Liga BBVA matchday 12, when the Yellows and Azulones cross paths in the league. The home team have recorded two victories and three defeats in their last five matches in the competition, while the side from the capital have picked up eight of the last 15 points on offer.
Team news
Mateo Musacchio, Bojan Jokić, Hernán Pérez, Gio Dos Santos and Bruno Soriano, will all miss the game through injury, so their manager, Marcelino García Toral, will have to rearrange various areas of the team. Meanwhile, Juan Valera, Alexis Ruano and Álvaro Vázquez will not be travelling with their teammates.
Views from the dugout
The home manager, despite the results, was optimistic and evaluated his men's latest performances before hosting Getafe: "Football is about streaks and you have to deal with that, for example, there are injuries and individual errors. I don't think we have been a vulnerable team in recent games".
For his part, Cosmin Contra, is aware of the difficulty of the clash, even more so against an injured side: "We're very excited about the trip and we're confident we can get something out of the Madrigal. We know it's a very difficult ground and they are a team that usually have a chance of playing in Europe and that makes it even more difficult".
