RC Deportivo and Granada CF drew 2-2 on matchday twenty of La Liga BBVA. It was a bittersweet draw for the Andalucian side who remain bottom, whilst the home side remain two points above the danger zone.
The team led by the recently appointed Abel Resino, started strongly and opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a great left-foot strike by Piti that went past Fabricio on his right hand side. With the 1-0 lead, the visitors took control of the game, whilst the Galician side did not look comfortable and could not find their game.
Just as the home side were having their greatest difficulties, they drew level thanks to José Rodríguez. Following a great move from Oriol Riera who shot first, Oier made the first clearance and the ball fell to the Alicante midfielder who made no mistakes against the visiting goalkeeping. From that moment onwards, Deportivo reacted, and four minutes later, Lucas Pérez put his men ahead on the scoreboard.
Granada, aware of the importance of taking something from the Riazor stadium, did not resign themselves to defeat and in the second half they managed to draw the score level at 2-2, where it would remain. Rober Ibáñez swung in a free-kick, it was headed on by Juan Carlos, before Ibáñez beat Fabricio, meaning that the points were shared at the final whistle.
