The Estadio Santiago Bernabéu will host the Liga BBVA matchday 23 game between Real Madrid and RC Deportivo on Saturday.

After their derby defeat to Atlético Madrid, los Blancos will be looking to regain their confidence and pick up three points that would allow them to stay top of the league. They will be up against a Depor side keen to continue their ascent up the league table after winning back-to-back games and earning a draw in their last three games.

Team news

Los Blancos go into the game without Pepe, Sergio Ramos, James Rodríguez, Sami Khedira, Luka Modrić and Fabio Coentrão through injury.

The visitors will be missing Germán Lux, Toché, Hélder Postiga, Diogo Salomão, Sidnei Rechel and Luis Fariña because of injury, while Pablo Insua is suspended and José Rodríguez is unable to play for contractual reasons.

"We're going to react and be competitive again. We have to play well and produce a good performance from a technical, tactical and psychological point of view," insisted Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.

His opposite number of Deportivo, Víctor Fernández, outlined what his team need to do to win. "Every player will have to play at their very best. The only way to get a win is by playing as a collective, helping each other out, making the right decisions and making sure our opponents don’t have an enjoyable afternoon."
