The Liga BBVA dominates the 2014 Team of the Year from UEFA.com users

UEFA.com users have chosen the 2014 Team of the Year with a record participation of 8.6 million votes. The all-star team includes five players from the Liga BBVA, more than any other European league. Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid CF), Diego Godín (Atlético Madrid), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid CF), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid CF) and Leo Messi (FC Barcelona) were all selected, the Real Madrid player received more votes than any other.

In addition, Cristiano Ronaldo has now made the team for eight consecutive years. He is followed by Messi who is making his sixth appearance after missing out in 2013. Godín and Kroos, for their part, are on the team of European stars for the first time.

- Forward: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid CF and Portugal)
