It was a very tight game on Liga BBVA matchday 14 between Granada CF and Valencia CF and it finished 1-1. Although Valencia were on the verge of bagging three points with a superb goal from Álvaro Negredo when the clock read 83, Isaac Success managed to equalise with one minute to spare. The draw will be a disappointment to both sides, as the Andalusians have not won since the fourth game and Valencia have strung together four matches without a victory.
It was Granada who started stronger, boxing in Valencia, but they failed to trouble goalkeeper Diego Alves. As the clock ticked on, the Ché managed to move forward and started to create danger, but Nuno Espírito Santo's men could not break through the home team's defence. The best chance of the first half fell to the visitors in an individual move from Álvaro Negredo, but the player from Vallecas shot wide of his mark.
In the second half, Negredo cropped up again, crashing a ball into the post and, with another, scoring his first goal in the Liga BBVA for Valencia as the final whistle approached. The striker from the capital controlled the ball with his right foot and rifled it into the top corner with his left. However, the sending-off of Paco Alcácer shortly afterwards gave the home team renewed hope and they ended up rescuing a point in the 89th minute with a goal from Success.
