Sevilla FC put pressure on Valencia CF in the fight for fourth spot after beating Levante UD 2-1 on matchday 30 in the Liga BBVA. Goals from Kevin Gameiro and José Antonio Reyes in the first half put Sevilla on their way to victory.

The visitors mapped out their way to a first victory in three visits to Levante in the opening stages of the game. First Kevin Gameiro found the net with an arrowed effort following a pass from José Antonio Reyes and then Reyes knocked in a pass from his French team-mate to double Sevilla’s advantage. Levante tried to get a goal of their own, but caused few problems for Sergio Rico in the Sevilla goal.

Levante created their best chances of the game in the second half. Nabil El Zhar and José Mari fired warning shots after the break before Kalu Uche halved the defcicit. Sevilla improved in the final stages of the game and Carlos Bacca almost scored a wonderful strike but instead rattled the crossbar, meaning the game finished with the scoreline still reading 2-1.
