Sevilla FC and RC Deportivo clash in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in Sunday's opening match in the Liga BBVA. Unai Emery's team will want to forget the thumping they received in the Vicente Calderón (4-0) and fight for their third win in front of their home fans this season.
The Galicians, for their part, whose season is yet to take off, have had their only win of the season away from home so they will see this as another good opportunity to escape from the danger zone.
Team news
The home manager will have a full arsenal except for the injured Mariano Barbosa and Sebastián Cristóforo. Kevin Gameiro will also be a doubt until the last minute. On the other side, Víctor Fernández will have to make do without Juan Domínguez, Salomão, Hélder Postiga and Isaac Cuenca, all of whom are injured. Pablo Insua, Seoane and Juan Carlos Real will not travel Sevilla for technical reasons.
Views from the dugout
Unai Emery is expecting a good day in the Sánchez-Pizjuán to "work and prepare for the 90 minutes at a high standard, and to let the fans enjoy their team. We have to all pull in the same direction, against the difficulties Deportivo may create, and overcome them".
However, the visiting manager, is aware of the quality of the opponent: "They are the Europa League champions, a very powerful team. They are a well-structured team who know what they want and how to get it and they have very athletic and physical players".
