Real Madrid racked up their seventh Liga BBVA win in a row after downing Granada CF 0-4 in the 10th round of fixtures. Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and a James Rodríguez double were enough for the Whites, who take top spot in the league. Granada are now six games without a win.
The match started in the best possible way for the Madrid outfit, taking the lead in the second minute. Ronaldo, who was set up by Benzema fired in his 17th strike in Liga BBVA. After dominating the game and making a number of chances, James made it 0-2 with a spectacular volley that beat Roberto Fernández.
Like in the first half, the second started well for Real Madrid. Benzema latched onto a Ronaldo back heel to make it 0-3 after 54 minutes. The home side improved and created chances through Youssef El Arabi and Rubén Rochina, but Carlo Ancelotti’s side finished the game as they started, scoring a goal – James marking his second.
