The most significant absentee for Paco Jémez will be that of injured left-back Emiliano Insua, who will be replaced by Nacho Martínez or Tito. Raúl Baena is back in the fold after resting for the game against Real Madrid CF. For the side from Vigo, Carles Planas and Borja Oubiña are out with injuries.

The manager of the side from Madrid is in no doubt about what his team have to do for the match: "We have to be very alert and concentrate very hard because they demand a lot. In order to be able to compete at the top you have to be very professional". For his part, Eduardo Berizzo showed that he is very familiar with his opponent's style and stated that "the key will be in whoever can get possession and cope with the times when the opponent is dominating".
