Matchday 25 in the Liga BBVA pits Rayo Vallecano against Levante UD, a game in which Lucas Alcaraz’s men will be looking to pick up the three points again to continue their winning form after beating Granada CF 2-1 last week.
Paco Jémez’s Rayo will not make things easy for the visitors, as after a poor run of results, they are back on the path to victory. In the last three seasons, Levante have won two of their away clashes with Rayo 2-1, but lost 3-0 at the Estadio de Vallecas in the 2012-13 season.
Team news
Paco Jémez is without goalkeeper Antonio Rodríguez 'Toño' and midfielder Mohammed Fatau through injury, while Levante are missing Pedro López through injury, while Nabil El Zhar, Jose María, Nikos Karabelas and Mohammed Sissoko have been left out of the squad.
View from the dugouts
Paco Jémez believes Levante will go to Vallecas "looking for the win", meaning that his side "will have to do everything possible to dominate the game". Lucas Alcaraz meanwhile said Rayo’s style is "very defined" and said the most important thing for his side is that "my players have fresh legs, are comfortable in the game and that we can take a positive result away with us".
