Pablo Machin is the new coach at Espanyol

The Barcelona-based club have appointed Pablo Machin as the replacement for David Gallego, who parted company with them on Monday. Machin, who has coaching experience with Numancia, Girona and Sevilla FC, takes charge of the team over the international break and his first game at the helm will be at home to Villarreal CF on Sunday 20 October.
