The home team have suffered back-to-back defeats while Almería will be looking to build on their win from their last league fixture.
Team news
The visitors will be without injured goalkeeper Rubén and suspended forward Tomer Hemed for this game. Almería will also have to wait until the last minute to make a call about José Antonio García 'Verza', who picked up an muscle injury against Getafe CF. Meanwhile, Miroslav Djukić will be without the services of Fidel or Luso for this match.
Views from the dugouts
Djukić, the Córdoba boss, shared his thoughts about the encounter in his pre-match press conference: "We have to give it our all in every match, Almería are in the dogfight along with us and we are well aware of how important this game is". For his part, Juan Ignacio Martínez was unequivocal in stating that Córdoba are a "direct rival" and explained that his players will be hoping to "rediscover their best away form".
