Málaga CF beat Córdoba CF 1-2 on Liga BBVA matchday eight. The result means that Javi Gracia's men have recorded their second win on the trot, while the Blanquiverdes are still yet to win since their return to the Spanish topflight.
The side from Malaga were superior throughout, creating plenty of danger in Juan Carlos Martín's box. They took the lead with a superb goal from Samuel García who stretched out his right leg to bring the ball down into the back of the net. Málaga were not about to settle for one goal though, and after an exquisite move from Nourredine Amrabat, who found Juanmi, the forward was brought down by the visiting keeper and the referee pointed to the spot. It was Amrabat who was responsible for scoring the visiting team's second goal before the break.
The visitors came out with the same intensity after the restart and continued with their quest for goals. Amrabat caused all sorts of trouble for Chapi Ferrer's team, with endless touches of class and participating in every move his side produced. He provided two great balls for Samu Castillejo and Juanmi, but the two strikers failed to convert. Córdoba, for their part, let their best chance slip after 78 minutes when Xisco had little to do to find the net. In added time, Ghilas produced a powerful shot to seal the 1-2 scoreline in the Estadio Municipal Nuevo Arcángel.
