SÁB 03.01.2015

Málaga CF and UD Almería will resume their Liga BBVA campaigns with a thrilling clash at La Rosaleda on Matchday 17 of the league competition. The two sides ended 2014 with a victory, so continuing that positive trend is essential for the teams managed by Javi Gracia and Juan Ignacio Martínez. Almería have not beaten Málaga since 2009.

Team news
For the Blanquiazules, manager Javi Gracia recovers Samuel García and Roberto Rosales, who were absent for the last fixture, along with forward Juanmi, who had been out injured for the last few weeks. Meanwhile, Almería will be without Fernando Soriano, through injury, and defender Sebastián Dubarbier, through suspension.

Thoughts from the dugout
Javi Gracia, despite his side's good form, was cautious before welcoming the Rojiblancos: "Almería have a good defensive game and transitions, which makes them dangerous; they have players with outstanding pace". Meanwhile, the visiting manager was ambitious going into his trip to Málaga and he confirmed that his team will travel there "trying to get something positive out of it".
