The innovative and state-of-the-art Liga de Fútbol Profesional website (www.lfp.es), has been named as one of the six finalists in the Sports category at the 'Dominios.es' awards, which are presented by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
The 'Dominios.es' prize-giving ceremony will take place on 24 November at 12:00, in the events room at the Biblioteca Nacional de España, in Madrid. The event will be attended by personalities linked to the world of sport, it will be presided by José Manuel Soria, the minister of industry in the Spanish Government.
LFP.es will compete with five other finalists who currently provide content on sports: Real Federación Española de Futbol (www.rfef.es), Ciclismo a fondo (www.ciclismoafondo.es), Diario Sport (www.sport.es), Sportyou (www.sportyou.es) and Revista de Padel Online Profesional (www.padelstar.es).
The nomination is recognition of the continuous progression of the LFP's official website. The accumulated growth compared to the 2013/14 season is of 105%, growing 126% in the last month. In addition, it has a total of nearly 10,000,000 active followers per month across all platforms.
On the LFP's website, Spanish football lovers can get all the latest news on the 42 clubs in the Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante. They also have access to in-depth information on schedules for La Liga and other competitions, stats on their favourite teams and players and all the institutional information generated around La Liga and the Fundación de Fútbol Profesional.
Another of the services offered by www.lfp.es is the official La Liga TV channel where, every week, football fans have the chance to watch the cream of the Liga Adelante matches, regardless of their geographic location and completely free of charge.
