Liga BBVA matchday twelve saved some of its best football until last and 'LFP.es in-depth' travelled to the Nuevo Los Cármenes, a ground that resounded with an a cappella version of the home team's anthem before the game and was brought to life by a Granada CF-UD Almería match filled with tension, equality and passion.
It was an exceedingly tight game in which the home team fought until the last to tip the balance in their favour against a hard-working Almería who were supported by a large number of fans who made the trip to Granada, making the most of the proximity of the two Andalusian cities.
Iturra, a Granada CF midfielder, was one of the players to visit the mixed zone after the match. "We leave here with peace of mind, but not content because we wanted to take home three points no matter what, but we did give our all to try and win the game". Rubén, Almería's keeper, also spoke to LFP.es after the clash. "We did a spectacular job in defence and in the end we have to accept a valuable point given the early sending-off".
