The home side's manager, Javi Gracia, has the same players available as in his last league fixture versus RC Deportivo. Eduardo Berizzo has selected 19 players for his matchday squad, leaving out Borja Fernández, Borja Oubiña and Gustavo Cabral.

A win would extend the Andalusians' lead over Celta, who are one place below them in the table, to seven points, and Javi Gracia alluded to this: "It's a game that could put some distance between us and those below. And then hopefully we can talk about something else".
The Celestes boss assessed his team's situation. "Three defeats have forced us to reflect. Things that went well for us before aren't going so well now and we need to get back that intensity we had in attack, which we have lost a little".
