James Rodríguez, of Real Madrid CF, had to abandon the postponed game of matchday 16 of the Liga BBVA following a knock to his right foot when playing Sevilla FC.
The Colombian player was substituted in the 27’ of the first half, and following tests that were carried out, he was discovered to have suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. Consequently, he will have to undergo an operation according to Real Madrid sources.
The Real Madrid midfielder will be out until at least the end of February, although it is still not known exactly how long he will be unavailable for. James Rodríguez has played in 20 Liga BBVA games, scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assists along the way.
