All is set for the Basque derby that will take place this Sunday at 5pm CET between SD Eibar and Athletic Club on matchday 25 of the Liga BBVA. Eibar have seen their great start to the campaign come to an abrupt end, as they have now gone six games without a win. Therefore, the Armeros will be hoping to get an important boost of morale against Athletic, who will be hoping to make up for their elimination at the hands of Torino FC in the UEFA Europa League.
Squads
Eibar go into the game without Abraham Minero due to an injury, whilst Federico Piovaccari returns to the squad having missed the last match because of a ban. As for the visitors, Ander Iturraspe is still recovering due to a strain to his right knee and will be unavailable to play.
Thoughts of the coaches
"If we have as many chances as we did against Elche, then it will be difficult for us not to score. Keeping a clean sheet will help us to get the win" said the Eibar coach Gaizka Garitano.
His opposite number in the Athletic dugout, Ernesto Valverde stated that it will be "an attractive" and "historic game for both sides". He also stated that there are no differences between the two sides and that both are "in need of points".
