Liga BBVA matchday 12 will be brought to a close with a passionate Andalusian derby with the added incentive of a victory that is much needed by both Granada CF and UD Almería. Both teams, who occupy 17th and 19th position, respectively, are aware that now is the time to dig deep in search of the football they know they can produce.
Team news
For the Nazaríes, the return of midfielder Francisco Medina 'Piti' is the main change to the squad for the clash with Francisco Rodríguez's Almería. Meanwhile, for the visitors, all eyes will be on academy player Carlos Selfa, who received a surprise call-up from his manager together with veteran player Mané.

"Almería are a balanced, strong team who are gaining in confidence, and in order to get three points we'll have to play at a high level", said Joaquín Caparrós, the home coach.
The visiting manager appealed to his team to produce their best football against a solid opponent, but he is under no illusions. "The matches are racing by and playing solid football is not good enough anymore, what we need is to win, and that is what we intend to do when we visit the Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes", he revealed.
