Quique Sánchez Flores’s Getafe CF team take on Unai Emery's Sevilla FC for one of Sunday's Liga BBVA matchday 22 clashes. The Madrid side won their last game at home while the Andalusians have failed to pick up any points from either of their last two matches on the road in the Spanish topflight.

Team news

Both squads are replete with injuries. Getafe will have to make do without Juan Valera, Karim Yoda, Vicente Guaita, Baba Diawara, Lafita and Sergio Escudero, which means the manager will be sticking with Ivi, Alex Felip and Jona for this encounter. While the home side head into this game with six absentees, Sevilla have similar selection headaches to deal with. Beto, Kevin Gameiro, José Antonio Reyes and Benoît Trémolinas are all injured, while Daniel Carriço, Vitolo y Aleix Vidal and Sebastián Cristóforo will miss this game through suspension.

Views from the dugouts

'Quique', the South Madrid outfit’s manager, stated in his pre-match press conference that as his team are "competing well" he is "at ease". "I am fully confident that [my players] will accomplish their goals". Elsewhere, Emery explicitly stated that for his team the Getafe fixture is "the most important match of the year".
