Getafe aim to end Barcelona's good run

Cosmin Contra’s men welcome FC Barcelona aiming to claim the three points at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez after four rounds without a home win. They face an Azulgrana side who have done very well against them in recent years and will be keen to stay hot on the heels of the Liga BBVA leaders, Real Madrid CF.

Getafe will be without Sergio Escudero and Arroyo, through injury, and Fredy Hinestroza, through suspension. For the Azulgranas, Vermaelen remains absent, along with Neymar, who has discomfort in his left ankle.

Cosmin Contra, the Getafe boss, spoke of how his team is approaching the clash against the Catalan side. ”Fear of Barcelona, no. Just respect”.  He also gave his view of his opposition’s playing style. “Barcelona never lose their identity; they’re a team who keep you in your own half, and that’s where we have to counter them and utilise our weapons, like our pace”. His counterpart in the visitors’ dugout, Luis Enrique, had words of praise for his opponents: “At a ground where it’s always very hard to win, Getafe have dynamic players in attack and a dangerous aerial game; we’ll have to be careful”.
