Elche CF will have another chance to breathe new life into their Liga BBVA campaign when they host RCD Espanyol in the 10th round of the competition. The side from Alicante are in the drop zone with just five points, and have only taken one from the last possible 15, meaning a win is essential.

"We know that we need to pick up points", said Fran Escribá before assuring that his side will give their all in this game. "It will be a vey even game, and 90 tough minutes in which I’m sure we can get our first win at home", said the Elche boss.
The visiting boss, Sergio González, said: "We're at optimum condition to try and get our first away win, and it would give us a huge morale boost".
