Liga BBVA matchday seven brings together two teams who are separated by just one point in the table and looking to get their season underway. RCD Espanyol are to host Real Sociedad, the team who just drew 1-1 with Valencia CF in their sixth match of the 14/15 season. The team from Barcelona have not won this tie since 2011.

Team news
The biggest changes to the home squad are Paco Montañés and forward Sergio García, who has been training with the rest of the team despite having fractured his wrist. The injured Abraham, however, will not be joining the Blanquiazules. For his part, Jagoba Arrasate, the Basque team’s coach, included Jon Ansotegi in his squad to replace Gorka Elustondo.

Views from the dugout
"If we carry from where we left off last week, the results will come and we'll be picking up three points at a time", said a confident Arrasate before a match in which his team will be looking to take the spoils from a close rival. Meanwhile, the home manager, Sergio González, did not hesitate to state that his team will have to dominate: "We have to give a little extra at home, to be more dominant and hope that helps us win matches".
