Valencia CF and Athletic Club de Bilbao meet in Matchday 11 of La Liga BBVA. The Rojiblancos arrive at the Mestalla needing a boost after seeing their hopes dashed of progressing beyond the group stages in the UEFA Champions League. Ernesto Valverde's men, with only domestic competitions to focus on now, have won their last two matches and are racing up the table.

Valencia, on the other hand, are second in the table, just one point behind league leaders Real Madrid. They're flying high after wins against Villareal and Elche, and Nuno Espírito Santo's side won’t want to let their guard drop this Sunday.

Team News
The Basque coach has to find someone to replace his top scorer Aritz Aduriz, who's out with an injury. Óscar de Marcos will have be assessed for fitness before the match. Valencia, for their part, have a full squad, minus the injured Dani Parejo.

In the pre match press conference, Nuno praised his opponents: "It's a tough match against a good side with a good coach, good players too, a Champions league side." 'Txinguirri' Valverde said what worries him is the home side's "confidence. They've got a lot of pace, and their attackers are in the goals at the moment."
