Liga BBVA matchday 13 comes to a close with the game between UD Almería and Rayo Vallecano, who are separated by four points in the table. The home team have never beaten the side from the capital in their stadium in the Liga BBVA or the Liga Adelante. Nor have they won a single match in the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos this season.

Francisco will be without Azeez for the game. Morcillo and Fatau are back for Rayo and Raúl Baena (suspended), Toño Rodríguez and Emiliano Insúa (injured) and Nacho Martínez, for a technical decision, are missing from Raúl Baena's previous squad.

The Rojiblancos' manager was keen to praise his opponents: "Going forward they are one of the best sides in the middle of the table. They do not change the way they play, regardless of their opponent". His counterpart, Paco Jémez, spoke of the importance of the clash: "Winning this match could give us the peace of mind to focus on the middle of the table and above and we don't want to let any more chances slip by".
