Almería continue their run

UD Almería recorded a second successive win in Liga BBVA after a Míchel Macedo brace saw them down Córdoba C 1-2. Fede Cartabia had put the home side ahead in the first half.

Córdoba came out of the blocks fast, with both the statistics and the scoreboard attesting to their intensity. After only 10 minutes of play Fede Cartabia scored a fantastic free-kick to put them ahead. From then on, the home side continued to dominate, causing problems for Julián Cuesta in Almería’s goal, however luck was against them, and they led only 1-0 at half time.

Everything changed after the break. Almería changed tack, and they were able to turn the game on its head with a five-minute Míchel Macedo double. This result gives the visitors their second win on the spin, leaving them in 15th, while Córdoba fall into the drop zone.
