Deportivo come into the encounter with the longer list of players out. Víctor Fernández’s side will be without José Verdú 'Toché', Diogo Salomão, Luis Fariña, Hélder Postiga and Alberto Lopo. For the Andalusians, Rubén Martínez is Juan Ignacio Martínez’s only absentee.

"The match against Deportivo is a massive game," was Martínez's categorical assessment in his press conference as he prepared to host the Galicians. "They're three very important and significant points." Meanwhile, Fernández insisted that his team are "ready for this match against Almería, despite the many injuries we’ve had in recent games."
