RC Deportivo and Granada CF will get Sunday’s Liga BBVA matchday 20 action underway. The visitors, who are rooted to the bottom of the table, come into this encounter with a new-look dugout and will be aiming to get a win that would keep their hopes of avoiding the drop alive. The club’s recently appointed manager, Abel Resino, has expressed his confidence in the players overcoming the tricky situation in which they currently find themselves.
The Galicians, for their part, lost their last match 0-4 to FC Barcelona, a result that means they sit just one point above the relegation zone. As such, picking up points from this encounter is the main objective for Víctor Fernández’s men.
Team news
Abel Resino’s team will take to the pitch without injured Jeison Murillo or Nyom, who has an accumulation of yellow cards. Hélder Postiga is out for Deportivo with a groin injury. However, Luis Fariña makes his way back into Víctor Fernández’s plans after being given the all clear.

Granada’s new manager gave his thoughts about his team during the pre-match press conference: "I’ve been impressed with what I’ve seen so far. I’m not sure how we’re going to compete but what is certain is that the team have been training very well. I’m happy, the impression I have is a very good one. I’ve taken on a big challenge by coming back to Granada and we’re going to fight until the bitter end to accomplish it. I’m an optimist, if I wasn’t I wouldn’t have come here".
Meanwhile, the home side’s manager has predicted "a tense game, with a big weight of responsibility for two sides with a lot to play for. We have played each other a lot. Whoever manages to settle their nerves best will have a better chance of controlling the game".
